On 1 July, National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, launched a beta version of www.nsddata.ru as a major step in the creation of its Corporate Information Center. The website provides users with open access to the services of an “Issuers and registrars” news feed.
The new web resource will be a technical platform and a single point of access for information products of the Corporate Information Center. For users’ convenience, a transition to the new website will occur in three basic stages:
- 1 July 2016 – launch of the “Issuers and registrars” news feed with simultaneous publication of information at www.nsd.ru;
- January 2017 – launch of a new product allowing the upload of corporate data in a structured form with the flexible options to select information;
- July 2017 – full transition of NSD information products and services to www.nsddata.ru.
The Corporate Information Center complies with the new law with effect from 1 July 2016 stipulating NSD’s status as a single source of official information on corporate actions. Information from the CIC has priority status over any other data.
The launch of the Corporate Information Center in Russia will solve the problem of multiplicity and inconsistency in corporate actions data, and reduce securities market participants’ labor costs and expenses for the monitoring and checking of information received from multiple sources.
